Ok, so we are basically a month out from Valentines Day. If you think this post is premature, you just don’t know me, because I am usually the queen of procrastination. If I don’t start thinking about holidays early, they literally creep up on me. So here I am, being super prepared and early for a holiday…be so proud of me! 😉 I think this is the perfect Valentines Day look, whether or not you’re going on a date or not. Single ladies, why not go out with your single girlfriends and look AWESOME! There’s really no need to sit at home on Valentines Day being lonely. You can always find someone to spend it with, and why not look fabulous no matter what? I love the idea of going semi-monochromatic when it comes to Valentines Day, because what could be more va-va-voom than a red look?
This particular red dress is actually a pretty good dupe for the Self Portrait dress you’ve probably seen a ton of lately. I seriously am in love with anything Self Portrait, but I just can’t stomach their price tags. Enter this gorgeous and affordable alternative. I love lace because it is classy, yet still has a bit of sexiness to it, which is exactly what I want in a Valentines Day look. Also, this dress has pockets so that is a definite huge win in my book. This leather jacket is actually one that I don’t wear often, as it is super bulky. It was my grandmother’s in the 90’s, so you have to give her props for her awesome style, am I right?! Although I’m not sure about the bulkiness, I think it had to be worn with this dress. Obviously, if you have red bottoms, you simply must wear them with a look like this.
Speaking of those red bottoms…if you’re wondering how I scored these beauties, there’s a post for that! Click here to read all about my experience shopping at Christian Louboutin in Paris! It was definitely one of the highlights of my entire life, not gonna lie. #realtalk
Obviously, since it’s Valentines Day, you have to indulge in some sweets! A box of chocolate is so predictable. Go for an ice cream date instead!
