As trends go, lately denim has been in the spotlight. Distressed, step hem, frayed hem, embroidered, acid wash, high waisted, patched, cropped, flares…you name it, and denim has done it. Look, I’m not complaining. No one is more tired of plain ol’ denim than I am. This is probably why you see me rocking every single denim trend out there in an effort to spice up my denim relationship…because you know, every long term relationship needs some spicing up now and again! Honestly, until all these denim trends started hitting our consciousness, I was really not into wearing jeans. So much so, that my fiance who was then my boyfriend used to complain that I just never wore jeans and he didn’t understand why I couldn’t just “keep it simple.” Trust, he has since learned that I never keep it simple. All of these denim trends have definitely jerked me out of my denim slump, but the pearl denim trend has to be my favorite yet.
