The Little White Lace Dress

Well…I’m BAAAAACK! Finals are finally over, and that means this girl is on summer break. I could not be more relieved and more excited to focus on some non-academic pursuits this summer, such as this blog, wedding planning, among a couple other exciting things I have in the works that I can’t wait to share with you guys! In the meantime, let’s talk about this little white lace dress. One thing that I will never forget from history class in 5th grade is the fact that the ancient Egyptians often wore white in order to help reflect the sun’s hot rays and stay cool. I’m willing to bet that the fact that this bit of history had to do with fashion was why I will never forget it! Just like the ancient Egptians, I too love wearing white in the hot summer sun, and I do believe that were onto something with this fashion choice. Every spring, I have to pick up a new little white dress…or five. There is something about a crisp, beautiful white dress in summertime that just appeals to me such much.

Now that I am also a bride-to-be, I am even more obsessed with adding more whites to my wardrobe. I mean, there are so many occassions in which I will want to wear white: bridal showers, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners…I mean, I’ll probably even use vendor shopping as an excuse to wear some sort of fabulous white outfit. You don’t have to be planning your wedding to rock the LWD, because they really look fantastic on everyone. As an added bonus, if you’re super fair-skinned like I am, wearing white can help enhance what little amount of summer glow you might have.
