As far back as I can remember, I have LOVED watches. I distinctly remember being about 11 years old when I got my first watch…it was this sporty Casio number that could go underwater and would light up blue in the dark….I thought it was the coolest! I know I just said that I wasn’t into sporty watches before, but I saw this one and popped it on with my date night outfit the other night, and I was thrilled to see how it went so well with a more elegant night out look. In fact, I think the sporty style of the G-SHOCK really gives the outfit a more playful vibe and sort of makes it a bit more casual it for a summer date night night so that the overall look is more effortless and doesn’t feel too stuffy. Its the perfect accessory, regardless of whether or not you’re dressed up or down. The rose gold dials and accents hit the light in such a pretty way, and the clear body and strap keep it from feeling too heavy and detracting from your outfit. Together with its larger, sporty design and delicate rose gold accents, it gives this timepiece such a perfect blend of femininity and masculinity.
We talked fashion, now let’s get down to function. The G-SHOCK is one tough watch! It is shock resistant, magnetic resistant, and is also water resistant up to 200m. It also features a stop watch and daily alarm features, as well as a handy LED light like my original Casio had many years ago. I love that it has a home city with world city swapping function, so that when I travel, I can easily set my watch for my new time zone with less hassle.
