This outfit is a little bit country, a little bit chic. Sure, gingham and overalls are definitely a combo that you might associate with Dorothy, but I think this is a fun, modern take on this look because of the details. Gingham has been a huge trend the last couple seasons and this top was unlike any I have seen, plus it is less than $25, so it was definitely a steal! Dramatic sleeves are one trend I am really enjoying this year, and these billowy style bell sleeves are so fun and unique. The overalls get a bit of a modern makeover as well with the cropped wide legs. I’ve been wearing these nonstop since I bought them because they’re so comfortable.
But enough talk about this outfit…its the boots that I’m really obsessing over. Velvet has to be the biggest trend of the season, and I can’t say that I’m upset about it. I love the rich colors and the feel of velvet, it just looks so luxe! When I saw these royal blue booties, I was a little unsure at first as they are a bit of a statement, but I can safely say I have no regrets buying these, they are gorgeous…I can’t wait to wear them all season long.
