Remember a couple weeks back when I shared one of my favorite adulting hacks? The good people at Target Optical® helped me out and I finally got my new eyeballs in, i.e., my 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST Brand Contact Lenses! I could not be more happy with these new contacts. First of all, they are for daily wear, which is perfect for me. Turns out, I’m just really prone to getting debris on my contact lenses, which drives my eyes all kinds of crazy. This was just making my eye makeup situation difficult because my eyes would just water constantly and ruin all attempts and fun makeup looks. (If you follow me on my instastories, you know I complained about this a lot!) My 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST Brand Contact Lenses work so well because I only wear them one day at a time, so whether I get makeup or some other gunk on them, it really doesn’t matter because there’s a fresh pair waiting and ready for the next morning so that I can start fresh. Not to mention, they feel so comfortable when I’m wearing them.
Now that I’ve changed up my eyewear game, I’ve been so excited to start experimenting with fun eye makeup looks. I grabbed this new rose gold palette and a couple other new eye makeup tools over at Target to have some fun and play with all the new makeup possibilities that are open to me. I have been loving metallic eye looks as of late, and now that fall is here, I am so ready to take on some bold and warm eye looks to compliment my outfits.
How I achieved this look: I used minimal brushes as I find that working with my fingers really helps deposit metallic shadows much better. First of all, I started off with a great eyeshadow primer to make sure the look holds. Then, with my blending brush, I took the light pink shade and covered my entire eyelid, all the way up into my crease. I then used my finger and deposited this very light, gold iridescent shade into my inner corners and right under my brows. Then, once again with my finger, I took the bright metallic pink shade and put that on the middle of my eyelids. I then picked up a little bit darker pink metallic shade with my finger and added that to the outer corners of my eyelids. Then, to add some definition, I took my definition brush and grabbed some of this dark maroon and put that right in the crease. For extra sparkle, you can take a bit of the gold and put just a bit of that right on the middle of your eyelid. Finish it all off with a winged liquid eyeliner, a quick curl of the lashes and some mascara, and you’ve got yourself a gorgeous fall eye look!
I can’t wait to explore more fall eye looks now that I finally have some contacts that feel comfortable! Stay tuned for so many more fun fall makeup looks to come!
