Since getting engaged last February, I’ve been learning more and more about all the details that go into wedding planning. Wedding planning is a daunting task, but I am going to take you all through my journey as I plan so that hopefully you can learn a bit about the process as I plan for my big day. Today’s post is the first in what I’m sure will be many installments of bridal and wedding related posts in the coming year. Badgley Mischka Bridal Footwear and JEWEL Line

Badgley Mischka has long been a crowd favorite for wedding shoes. A lot of my girlfriends who have already gotten married have worn Badgley Mischka shoes on their big day, and its pretty easy to see why. These shoes look like they are fit for a princess. Both of these pairs of shoes are absolutely exquisite, and actually pretty comfortable. I know they are going to look amazing with whatever dress I choose and will make for some gorgeous pictures! Another bridal must have is without a doubt your “save the date” and wedding invitations. These two items are a really great way to not only show off you and your fiance’s personality as a couple but set the tone for your wedding’s overall theme by subtly hinting to your guests of what to expect from your ceremony and reception. Zola Registry

As much fun as going to a department store and using that little gun to add stuff to your registry probably is, it is both time-consuming and not very convenient. Zola is an online registry site that lets you create your registry anywhere, anytime from your computer, tablet, or mobile device. I love this because I don’t know when I will be able to go and set up my registry in the traditional way, and Zola lets me add items to my registry while I’m on the go. My fiance can also contribute to this as well, which is fantastic. I’ve got my heart set on this pink Kitchen Aid mixer while he is all about the Parachute bedding. Hanky Panky

If there’s one fashion-ism I firmly believe in, its that when you have pretty undergarments on, it makes you feel that much more confident and sexy. This is definitely something you want to feel on your wedding day, and picking up some fun bridal lingerie to wear on your big day and for your honeymoon is a great idea. Hanky Panky has been a long-time favorite underwear brand of mine for their beautiful details and their comfort. The design of their thongs are so flattering and the best part about them is that they don’t give you any of the dreaded VPL…aka “visible panty lines.” This particular style is called the Mrs. Low Rise thong, and I love the little blue jewel embellishments on it.

Algenist Make-Up Setting Spray

One issue that I have been having a lot lately is getting my makeup to stay put all day long. Nothing is more annoying than realizing halfway through your day that you need to reapply your makeup. This is the last thing you want on your big day, so I was thrilled to get to try this setting spray from Algenist. I love how easy it is to use, you just spray it in a sort of Z motion across your face. It is so hydrating and it really does help my makeup stay put throughout the day while also hydrating my skin.
