One thing that I am kind of the worst at is remembering to schedule my routine checkups, especially my eye exams. Of course, I know I should be a responsible adult and think of these things in advance before I’m on my last pair of contacts that I’ve been wearing for way too long, but alas, I can’t say that I am adulting at that level yet. One thing that I am grateful for in my dire need is the Target Optical® Center. Seriously, they truly save me every time! I had to do just that last week, so I wanted to share this valuable, adulting hack so that you too can get your eye appointment scheduled quickly and efficiently exactly when you need it!

My particular eye-mergency this time around wasn’t quite so dire as ripping my last pair of contacts, but I have been looking to switch up my contacts lately. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had so much trouble trying to find the right brand of contacts for my eyes. Every day, I have some sort of issue, whether my eyes are itchy, constantly watering, or just irritating. Some friends of mine had recommended I try out 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST contacts as they wear them and swear by how comfortable they have been in their personal experiences. At this point, I am willing to try whatever I can to help with all the eye drama in my life.

When I arrived for my appointment, I did my best to put my blinders on and walk straight past the women’s clothing department and straight to the optometrist’s office…that was probably the hardest part of this whole process! The doctor was very attentive and took a lot of time to address my individual concerns with my eyes. Based on my various issues, she recommended that I try the 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST lenses as I may find them to be more comfortable than the monthly lenses I’ve been wearing for years. She even gave me a couple pairs to try, and I have to say I’m pretty obsessed with how they feel! They’re so light, I can barely tell that I’m wearing contacts, which is exactly what I want. I’m excited to receive my new prescription and switch over to the 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST lenses; I can definitely see why all my friends raved about them for so long!
