I have always had a problem with handbags. Especially handbags I can’t afford. Seriously, why do they have to be so freaking pretty?! I truly believe that a great handbag is worth the investment, but sometimes, it’s just waaaaaay too much. I think the character Lily Moscovitz said it best in The Princess Diaries: “These bags! You HAVE one of these bags? You know, we could hock that and feed a whole third world country!” I think this quote has really stuck with me for so many years because even my middle school self had an obsession with designer bags. (Back then, it was definitely the multi-colored Louis Vuitton…but I digress.) Lily had a point about the third world country thing, but forget about that, for the price of the Chloe Drew bag (my latest obsession) I could pretty much pay two months of rent and some bills. I am in love with this bag because of all the small details: the dainty, knotted chain straps, the little latch closure, and the fact that it is a cross-body for going hands free.
