I love throwing a good party, and 4th of July is no exception! Almost every year, Nate and I hang out in town for this holiday because it seems like everyone leaves LA, and let’s be honest, when everyone leaves LA, its the best! As much as I love throwing a bbq at the casa, they can be really annoying to clean up later, which is why I am teaming up with Brawny® Tear-A-Square™ to show you how to make throwing your 4th of July party a breeze! I recently discovered this variety of Brawny at my local Target and was so intrigued, I had to give them a try. Check it out here to find them in a target near you!
First of all, we have to talk about the fact that this Tear-A-Square™ roll lets you tear off not only full sheets, not only half sheets, but quarter sheets! That’s right, tiny little squares of paper towels. Is your mind blown? Obviously, this opens up a realm of possibilities that previously were inconceivable… how about the fact that they make super easy and fast coasters if people are drinking on a surface you’d rather protect from moisture? This also means so much less waste of your paper towel roll as you can take only as much as you need, for all kinds of messes big and small.
Of course, I am the clumsiest person in the world, and you can’t have spills around the pool, (who likes stepping in sticky stuff, not me!) so you best believe that I love having these babies around to quickly pick up the mess so that everyone can get back to enjoying themselves.
Brawny Tear-A-Square can have more uses for your 4th of July party besides cleanup! One thing I always love doing during the summer is playing around with temporary tattoos. I searched a little online and found some really cute patriotic, 4th of July themed temporary tattoos and placed them around the party so everyone can have fun with them. My Tear-A-Square paper towels came in handy in the application process, which apparently I needed help with because I am a child. It took us a few tries, but we eventually figured it out.
There are so many other uses for paper towels at a party besides cleanup, that maybe you haven’t thought about! I’ll go ahead and list them so you can use these hacks at your next bash:
- As a coozie for a cold can/bottle
- To quickly chill down a not so cold bottle of white wine. If you don’t know about this hack, you should! If you have a bottle of delish rose that is warm, I take a paper towel, dampen it, and then wrap it around the bottle and stick it in the freezer. In about 25 minutes, you’ll have a nice, cold bottle of rose to sip on!
- Keep your salad and greens crispy! If you’ve made a dish ahead of time that is a salad, or you are using herbs for anything, you can place a moist paper towel in the container with the greens and it will help control the humidity levels in the container to elongate the life of your greens.
- Take the annoyance out of shucking your corn on the cob and all those pesky silk hairs by running a damp paper towel over the ear of the corn to quickly get rid of all those silky fibers.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and have a safe and fabulous 4th of July! Thank you for reading along!
